Changes in TVO's Management Group

Ms. Anna Lehtiranta, Senior Vice President responsible for Corporate Relations at Teollisuuden Voima (TVO) and a member of TVO’s Management Group, will leave TVO’s employment at her own request.

- I first started at TVO in the spring of 2009, being in charge of communication, corporate relations and corporate social responsibility at a time when TVO was listed in the stock exchange and thus fell under the disclosure obligation. The arbitration proceedings resulting from the delay in the OL3 project had just started with the plant supplier. The OL3 project is now in the home stretch and disputes have been settled with the plant supplier. I therefore came to the conclusion that after a busy and rewarding nine-year work period, now is a good time to look for new opportunities in my career, explains Ms. Lehtiranta.

Mr. Jarmo Tanhua, President and CEO of TVO, describes the role of Ms. Lehtiranta in the development of TVO’s communication and corporate relations as significant. There have been several events during the past nine years that have had a major impact on the nuclear sector, both on national and international level, and communication has played a key role in these events. During this time, TVO as a company has also been transformed into a large conglomeration of nuclear power, on its way to the operation of three plant units. Ms. Lehtiranta has also held a key position in the enforcement of and communication on the agreement on the completion of the OL3 EPR project and disputes related to it.

- I wish to extend my warmest gratitude to Anna for her impressive work, and wish her all the best as she takes the next steps in life.

Mr. Jarmo Tanhua is not at this point able to describe the changes that will take place in the organisation of TVO Group and in the work of the Management Group as a result of Ms. Lehtiranta leaving. The planning of the changes is under way at present. Ms. Lehtiranta continues in the employment of TVO until the end of May 2018.
