Olkiluoto wind power plant

The Olkiluoto wind power plant was commissioned in November 2004. Commercial operation of the wind power plant began in April 2005. The power plant was built by the Finnish company WinWind Oy, and its domestic content is approximately 85%.

The plant’s capacity is 1 MW and annual output is about 2,000,000 kWh. The theoretical electricity generation cost is EUR 0.03 per kWh.The plant produced experience in the operation and costs of a wind power plant in the conditions prevailing at Olkiluoto, which are known to be better than average.
