2.2.2026

Teollisuuden Voima Oyj has been awarded the Work‑Life Cooperation Partner of the Year recognition by Länsirannikon Koulutus Oy Winnova. The award was presented at the Ammattiosaamisen päivä event on 30 January 2026 at Winnova’s Kiikartorni restaurant in the maritime surroundings of Rauma.

Ammattiosaamisen päivä, skills day was celebrated nationwide for the second time. The theme for 2026 was cooperation between education and working life, and the event was patroned by Minister of Education Anders Adlercreutz. In its selection criteria for the Work‑Life Cooperation Partner of the Year award, WinNova highlights long-term collaboration that strengthens students’ competence, work‑life readiness and the partnership between educational institutions and companies.

In its justification, Winnova emphasizes TVO’s extensive and impactful work‑life cooperation as well as its exceptional commitment to supporting and training future professionals. One example of this is the annual summer job and internship opportunities offered by TVO. In summer 2026, approximately 100 students will be recruited to Olkiluoto to explore cutting‑edge energy technology and gain hands-on work experience.
The justification also notes that TVO’s culture, which strongly emphasizes safety and continuous competence development, offers an excellent learning environment for students. In addition, TVO’s role in promoting emission‑free energy production and its strong employer reputation were key factors in the selection.

- We are extremely proud of this recognition. Cooperation with educational institutions is important to us, as we want to offer young people opportunities to grow into professionals in the energy sector. At the same time, young people’s fresh ideas, bold questions and new perspectives help us develop our own operations, says Jaana Isotalo, TVO’s Senior Vice President, HR and Communications.

WinNova and TVO have long collaborated in areas such as on‑the‑job learning, training programmes and student visits. This recognition further strengthens the long-standing partnership and the shared goal of building a skilled workforce for the future.
