New appointments to TVO’s Executive Team
As part of the ongoing development of Teollisuuden Voima Oyj’s (TVO) operations, changes will be made to the roles within the Executive Team, effective as of 1 September 2026. The objective of these changes is to further clarify leadership and strengthen TVO’s journey towards becoming Europe’s leading nuclear power operator.
In the upcoming change, responsibility for electricity generation will be divided into two areas: operations and maintenance.
Jukka Vastamäki has been appointed as Senior Vice President, Operations (SVP Operations) of the Olkiluoto nuclear power plant units. He moves into the role from his current position as Plant Manager of Olkiluoto 1 and Olkiluoto 2. Jukka Vastamäki has long-standing experience in operating organizations of nuclear power plants.
A new role within the Executive Team, Senior Vice President, Maintenance (SVP Maintenance), will be held by Marko Kesti, who joins TVO from Boliden Harjavalta Oy, where he has been responsible for maintenance operations. He brings strong experience in leading large-scale maintenance organizations.
Jouni Silvennoinen, who has served as Acting SVP, Safety since April, has been appointed as Chief Operating Officer (COO). In this role, he will be responsible supporting the CEO for planning, coordinating and supervising operations, ensuring the achievement of targets, and integrating activities across units into a cohesive whole.
Marjo Mustonen, who has extensive experience as SVP Electricity Production, has been appointed as CNO, SVP Safety (Chief Nuclear Officer).
