Electricity production at Olkiluoto 1 to be interrupted for approximately one day due to repairs

Electricity production at the Olkiluoto 1 plant unit (OL1) will be interrupted in the early hours of Friday, 30 October, to repair a faulty valve at the turbine plant.
The faulty valve will be repaired during a so-called hot shutdown. This means that although the plant unit will not be producing electricity, it will be kept at an elevated temperature to enable electricity production to resume more quickly once the repairs have been completed.
The plant unit is scheduled to be disconnected from the grid on Friday, 30 October, at approximately 5:30 a.m.
Following the repairs, the plant unit is expected to be reconnected to the grid on Saturday, 31 October, at approximately 3:00 a.m.
