Visitors come to Olkiluoto from land and sea

8.1.2025

The interest in nuclear power and Olkiluoto remains strong. This is evident at the Olkiluoto Visitor Center, where new faces walk through the doors every day—many of them visiting Olkiluoto for the very first time. Annual number of visitor is well over 15,000.

During the summer, a large number of domestic tourists stop by the center, while in other seasons, it is filled with various group visits. A guided tour is undoubtedly the best way to explore Olkiluoto.

“Many visitors are surprised at how close they can get to the nuclear plants. ‘Oh wow, there they are, just across the water,’ is a common reaction when stepping onto the Visitor Center’s terrace,” says Minna Nurmi from the Visitor Center's reception team.

A new addition to the Visitor Center is a dock, which makes it possible to visit us also by boat through a marked route. While the dock was completed at the end of the boating season, we won't see its true potential until next summer. So, captains and crew, you are warmly welcome to visit us!

P.S. While the dock can accommodate several boats, it’s not suitable for every type of vessel—larger trawlers might need to look elsewhere.

The Visitor Center is open daily from 10 AM to 8 PM.
Welcome!
