Teollisuuden Voima Oyj’s Annual Report for 2024 has been published
Teollisuuden Voima Oyj’s (TVO) Olkiluoto nuclear power plant produced approximately 28% of the electricity consumed in Finland in 2024. 2024 was a special year at Olkiluoto, since all three plant units underwent annual outages for the first time.
In 2024, TVO’s electricity production amounted to 23.26 terawatt hours (TWh).
The availability factor for the Olkiluoto 1 plant unit (OL1) was 89.2 per cent. Production at Olkiluoto 2 (OL2) was limited by a generator defect observed in September, due to which the plant unit’s availability factor remained at 84.9 per cent.
The Olkiluoto 3 (OL3) plant unit produced a total of 9.69 TWh of electricity in 2024. In addition to the first annual outage completed in the spring, OL3 was only out of production for slightly more than four days (108 h) during the entire year.
In 2024, TVO completed an environmental impact assessment programme for the planned service life extension and power uprating of OL1 and OL2.
The Group’s turnover was EUR 897 (876) million.

The Annual Report comprises the Report of the Board of Directors, a Sustainability Statement, Financial Statements and a Corporate Governance Statement. The Sustainability Statement included in the Report of the Board of Directors has been prepared in accordance with Chapter 7 of the Finnish Accounting Act, and the information is presented in accordance with the ESRS standards (European Sustainability Reporting Standards) and the European Union's (EU) Taxonomy Regulation. TVO’s Financial Statements have been published in accordance with the European Single Electronic Format (ESEF) reporting requirements.
