Ari Leppänen appointed as Managing Director for TVONS
The Board of Directors for TVONS (TVO Nuclear Services) has appointed Ari Leppänen, 53, as the new Managing Director for TVONS starting from 1 January 2024. Mr Leppänen (MBA/B.Sc.) will transfer to the position from the Assets and development unit within TVO’s Electricity Production.
- There is a lot going on in the nuclear power industry right now. Numerous projects are under way and the outlook in the industry is positive. The aim is to start growing the consulting business of TVONS. The outlook in small modular reactors (SMRs) is particularly interesting, Mr Leppänen says.
- TVO’s competence as an operator and licensee has garnered international interest, and TVONS provides TVO’s experts with opportunities to join international projects via our consulting business.
The former Managing Director of TVONS, Timo Palomäki, will continue to work for the Group, having shifted to part-time work at the start of December.
