More information of the situation of Olkiluoto 2

There has been a disturbance at Olkiluoto 2 (OL2) nuclear power plant at 12.22, where the main steam line’s isolation has been triggered and the containment has been isolated. An automatic reactor scram has occurred at the plant.
During the reactor scram, the plant has operated as planned. Differing to what was previously reported, the plant is not being prepared for a cold shutdown state. The situation is currently being investigated.
There is no release from the plant. No harm has been caused on people or the environment. We will give more information as the situation becomes clear.
