The TVO Group is preparing for any coronavirus infections and preventing transmission of the virus on the Olkiluoto Island by employing several measures.

The TVO Group has, for example, refrained from travelling, enabled remote work whenever possible, limited visitor access to the facilities of the TVO Group, reduced the number of events and moved training sessions to an online operating environment. Access restrictions have also been imposed on the area to distribute meetings to various areas and to reduce contacts between people. Our locations have also undertaken extensive measures regarding cleanliness, tidiness and canteen facilities. Practices and work methods have also undergone significant changes. The Visitor Centre in Olkiluoto has been closed to the public and group visits have been cancelled until further notice.

TVO has precautionary plans for crises and emergency situations, and key authorities will be notified of these plans. The TVO Group operates responsibly and proactively in all situations, therefore undertaking extensive measures to curb transmission of coronavirus infections. Electricity production will continue as usual in Olkiluoto.
