TVO handed the Olkiluoto 3 construction site over to the plant supplier as scheduled

- The Olkiluoto 3 project has proceeded according to plan, and today we have reached one very important milestone, says the Project Director, Mr Martin Landtman.

- We at TVO are very pleased that also licensing has proceeded rapidly.  The municipality of Eurajoki granted a building permit for Olkiluoto 3 on January 14, 2005, and the statement of position from the Radiation and Nuclear Safety Authority of Finland was given on January 21, 2005.  According to STUK's statement of position, there are no safety related reasons which would hinder the granting of a construction licence. We hope that the Council of State will grant the construction licence in the near future, after which the construction work referred to in the licence can be started, tells Mr Landtman.
