Teollisuuden Voima Oyj appoints Marjo Mustonen Senior Vice President for Nuclear Safety
Ms. Marjo Mustonen, MSc Tech., eMBA, has been appointed by the Board of Directors of Teollisuuden Voima Oyj Senior Vice President for Nuclear Safety and a member of the Management Group of the Company. Her appointment is effective as of 1 January 2014.
Before taking over the new position as head of Nuclear Safety, Ms. Mustonen acted as Manager of Operational Safety, and as the Nuclear Safety Manager of Olkiluoto 3. She will from now on also chair the Safety Committee of the Company and continue as the responsible director for construction of the OL3 nuclear power plant unit.
- Nuclear safety is the cornerstone of all our operations and Ms. Mustonen has accumulated in her previous positions extremely comprehensive and diverse experience in nuclear safety as concerns both the existing plants and the OL3 plant unit under construction. Marjo Mustonen was employed by Teollisuuden Voima in 1993, first as a safety engineer in Reactor Safety. In 2003, she took over the position of Nuclear Safety Coordinator in the OL3 project and was later appointed Head of Commissioning preparedness and Safety. Ms. Mustonen started as Manager of Operational Safety in 2008 and also assumed the duties of the Nuclear Safety Manager of OL3 the same year.
