OL1 turbine condenser leak repaired
The leak detected in the turbine condenser of Olkiluoto 1 has now been located and repaired.
Search for the leak began during the morning and has now ended. The leak found in the condenser unit isolated from the production process has been fixed. A small quantity of seawater was able to mix with process water via the condenser. The leak was detected by the continuously operating reactor water conductivity measurement system.
Power increase is now in progress at the plant unit, and full power output is estimated to be achieved in the early hours of April 15.
The power output was limited during the repair work, and the work had no impact on the safety of the plant unit.
