Standard & Poor's downgraded TVO's credit rating

​On 28 May 2015 Standard & Poor's Rating Services (S&P) lowered its long- and short-term corporate credit ratings on Teollisuuden Voima from 'BBB/A2' to 'BBB-/A3. The outlook S&P assessed as negative.

​According to Standard & Poor's, the downgrade of TVO's credit rating reflects that TVO's cost competitiveness has reduced, owing to continued deterioration in market prices and increased risk of higher production costs related to Olkiluoto 3 plant unit. This could, according to S&P, eventually dilute the cost advantage TVO offers to its shareholders.
