Olkiluoto 1 plant unit to be reconnected to national grid by the end of the day

The Olkiluoto 1 plant unit (OL1) will be reconnected to the national grid on Tuesday, 2 October.
The plant unit came off the grid on Monday, 1 October, at 22:48, due to the failure of a turbine valve, resulting in reactor shutdown. The 80% power level will be achieved on Wednesday and the plant unit is expected to be back in full power operation during Friday, 5 October.
The event did not affect nuclear safety.
