    TVO adheres to a set of ethical principles, which are grouped according to the TVO values. Everyone working at TVO is required to follow these principles without exception.

    The TVO values and ethical principles are presented at the induction training for new personnel and are repeated in other training and in internal communications.

    Ethical principles - responsibility

    • We ensure the safety of production.
    • We cultivate and promote a safety culture of the highest standard.
    • We adhere to all regulations and instructions.
    • We demand high and uncompromising quality.
    • We respect and care for the environment.
    • We act straightforwardly, honestly, fairly and equitably.
    • We respect every individual and acknowledge differences.
    • We do not discriminate against anyone as to age, gender, ethnic origin, religion, view of life or other personal attribute.
    • We do not approve child labour and not approve our partners to use child labour.
    • We respect other people´s right to privacy.
    • We take great care of the company´s assets, including knowledge, and use these only for business purposes.

    Ethical principles - transparency

    • We act in a transparent manner, while also maintaining confi dentiality.
    • We do not disclose confi dential information to anyone not entitled to it.
    • We work in an open, business-like and interactive manner with our stakeholders.
    • We neither accept nor offer any hospitality or advantage to ourselves or others that is not part of normal business and or a normal employment relationship.

    Ethical principles - proactivity

    • We work in a systematic and consistent manner.
    • We take action to avoid disturbances and nonconformities.
    • We promote good, safe and equal working conditions.
    • We ensure that all personnel are competent, have a good working atmosphere and are able to cope with their work.
    • We encourage all personnel to look after their physical and mental well-being and to maintain a balance between work and their lives outside work.

    Ethical principles - continuous improvement

    • We are open to new possibilities that could enhance safety, effi ciency, competence, working methods and working conditions.
    • We actively look for matters that can be improved.
    • We evaluate and immediately correct faults and prevent them from recurring.
