In 2008, power plants owned completely or in part by Teollisuuden Voima Oyj generated a total of 15 203,1 GWh electrical energy. Of the electricity supplied to our shareholders:

• 94.6% was generated by nuclear power
• 5.4% by fossil energy sources (coal)
• wind power 1 605 MWh.

Generation of electricity produced 0.003 mg/kWh of spent nuclear fuel. The specific emissions of carbon dioxide in coal production were 809.22 g/kWh.
