OL3 - Nationwide Project with International Athmosphere

The electricity that will be generated by TVO´s third plant unit is awaited by some sixty companies from Helsinki up to Rovaniemi. These companies will either use the electricity themselves or sell it on the free market.

Despite the 61 nationalities represented in the construction of the project world wide, OL3 is first and foremost a nationwide project, also in the sense that its employment effect on the surrounding areas and the entire Finland is considerable.

At the construction stage, the project will provide directly or indirectly employment of some 30,000 person-years; at its peek about 4 500 people are expected to be working at the site. During operation OL3 will be providing permanent employment for 150-200 people.
