The components of TVO Corporate Social Responsibility are social performance, environmental performance and economic performance.
Social performance
High-quality electricity generation is ensured by a competent and motivated personnel. Personnel training is provided at TVO both for new recruits and for old employees. Developing occupational safety and ensuring a good workplace atmosphere are an essential part of the company´s operations. TVO values open, frank and interactive cooperation with its interest groups. With the OL3 project communication with interest groups has expanded both in Finland and abroad.
Environmental performance
International treaties aiming at combating climate change require Finland to reduce carbon dioxide emissions. The electricity generated by TVO promotes the achievement of these requirements. TVO follows environmental regulations without compromise. No significant changes caused by the power plant units have been observed in the natural environment of Olkiluoto or its vicinity.

Economic performance
Electricity keeps society moving, and this movement translates into work and wellbeing. One important component of TVO Corporate Social Responsibility is to produce electricity for shareholders safely and competitively while preserving the environment and thereby safeguard the supply of electricity for society.
TVO operations principally consist of electricity production at the OL1 and OL2 units, which are maintained in a condition as good as new, and also construction of new capacity to meet future power needs. TVO produces electricity at a competitive price, serving Finnish industry and society as a whole and thereby bringing wellbeing to Finnish consumers.
