Logistikas Oy takes over TVO Group's storage and transport services

Teollisuuden Voima Oyj (TVO) and Logistikas Oy have agreed on a transfer of business, with Logistikas taking over the storage and transport services of TVO Group. The transfer of business will be enforced on 1 September 2016 and concerns nine employees.

The operation of storage and transport services is seasonal based on e.g. annual outages and other projects. The aim of the transfer of business is to ensure cost-efficient and flexible storage and transport services in compliance with high standards, throughout the year.

- The change is implemented as part of resources for the ongoing large-scale projects in Olkiluoto, and the workloads related to storage and transport services. As a major operator in the region, Logistikas has the ability to meet the demand for storage and transport services as well as demand variations, on an even higher level of quality, with continuous improvement of these services and processes as a focal area, explains Mr. Risto Siilos, Senior Vice President, Corporate Resources.

Mr. Toni Brigatti, the CEO of Logistikas Oy, emphasises the importance of the agreement on the production of storage and transport services for TVO Group:

- We have cooperated with TVO for more than ten years in the field of logistics, and the long-term agreement that we have now concluded transfers to us the responsibility for the total management and development of logistics.
